Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I see you for a treatment?
I work from a room at Winslow Skincare at 65 The Broadway, Haywards Heath, RH16 3AS
Which conditions can you help with?
In short, my treatments can help with all manner of muscle pain, muscle tension, stiffness and limited movement in the muscles and joints. They will relieve tension and help improve posture, speed recovery from exercise and improve performance. I have helped many people with the following: shoulder pain, neck pain, mid back or lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain or ankle pain.
What should I wear?
As you may be quite active during the treatment it’s a good idea to wear something you are comfortable in. For lower body treatments, sports shorts are ideal. For women, a modest rear fastening bra is a good idea. Try to avoid sports bras for any back, neck or shoulder problems as they restrict access to many muscles.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured as both a Therapist and a Personal Trainer.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
I will go through a medical questionnaire with you to make sure it is appropriate to treat you. If you have any specific injuries I will ask some more detailed questions to ensure you receive the best possible treatment and aftercare advice. I will carry out a postural assessment so the treatment can be tailored to your individual needs.
What qualifications do you have?
I studied with the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). I hold a Level 5 BTEC Diploma in Sports Massage & Soft Tissue Therapy. I am also a qualified Personal Trainer and hold various other health and fitness related qualifications.
Is it ok to book an appointment even if I’m not sporty?
Yes, my treatments are for everyone and I actually treat very few out and out athletes (although they too are welcome). The name really applies more to the techniques I use and sets me apart from other types of massage treatment
Will it be painful?
It shouldn’t be painful as such. That’s not to say you won’t experience some discomfort at times but it’s all part of a targeted treatment to get you back on your feet and doing the things you love again
How affordable is it / how many sessions will I need?
Many people experience relief after a single treatment which costs £55. Long term or chronic conditions might need several sessions. You can make treatment more affordable by buying a package of 6 treatments for £275 (that’s less than £46 per treatment). This also allows you to book several sessions ahead so you can secure your preferred treatment time too. Once your original issue is under control you might wish to consider scheduling a maintenance treatment every few weeks to keep you in tip top shape.
I’m pregnant, can you still treat me?
Unfortunately not. You will need to find a Therapist who is qualified and insured specifically in Pregnancy Massage.
